President Donald Trump’s Election to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs, Doug Collins, approved a vote of the Senate Clotatua Thursday night.
The vote was 83-13.
Collins will go to a complete vote on the Senate floor for confirmation, which is expected to be easily secured with strong bipartisan support.
A former -American Congressman, the Native Gainesville, Georgia, also serves as a chaplain to the United States Air Force Reservation.
Collins was not expected to face a difficult confirmation struggle and receive bipartisan support in his audience from the Committee, the lonely exception of the Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono de Hawaii, who voted against him.
