The Governor of Texas Greg Abbott He announced on Monday that he is deploying troops and helicopters on the southern border to help the Trump administration with his new efforts to end illegal immigration.
Abbott announced that he has ordered the deployment of Texas’s tactical border strength in the Rio Grande valley “to coordinate with the United States border patrol under the Trump administration to secure the border.”
The force will send 400 additional soldiers, as well as the helicopters C-130 and Chinook. This is in addition to the Texas National Guard soldiers already parked on the border as part of the Lone Star operation, which Abbott launched by 2021 to combat the border crisis.

“Texas has a partner in the White House with which we can work to secure the Texas-Mexico border,” Abbott said in a statement.
Contrasted the most aggressive stance of Trump administration in the southern border with what he saw as an inaction by the administration of Biden.
“Over the past four years, Texas maintained the line against the border crisis of the Biden administration and its refusal to protect the North -Americans. We finally have a federal government that works to end this crisis,” he said . “I thank President Donald Trump for his decisive leadership on the southern border and I hope to work with him and his administration to secure the border and make America again secure.”

Trump ordered the military’s deployment on the border on a first executive day, along with a large number of border measures. The troops began arriving in Texas and California on Thursday evening, with approximately 1,500 soldiers who added to the already 2,500 members of the service parked there in response to the border crisis by 2023.
