Nazir reveals why he didn’t celebrate Rohit’s Wickket
While most of the bowlers would celebrate lush after rejecting Rohit’s caliber player, Nazir decided to remain composed. In an interview with the media after the first day, Nazir revealed that his decision not to celebrate Rohit’s Wickket came from his deep admiration to the Indian captain.
As a self -proclaimed fan of Rohita, Nazir thought it was important to show respect and not rejoice after rejecting the player he was idolizing. He further expressed that he would secure a huge pride in the match for him and his team, especially given the importance of confronting and competition against the Indian captain on such a platform.
“The first thought in my mind was … I was a big fan of Rohit and that’s why I didn’t celebrate after I took his Wickket today. If we win this game, it would be a proud moment because the Indian captain plays in opposition,” Said Nazir.
