Sheffield United should separate with manager Chris Wilder after an unsuccessful offer of the Premier League promotion club.
In what indicates the end of the second mandate of Wilder in Bramall Lane, reports suggest that Ruben Selles, who is previously in charge of Southampton, Reading and Hull, is appointed to the appointment of his successor.
The blades of the championship season finished third, but they were denied promotion after a dramatic last-minute loss from Sunderland in the playoffs.
Wilder, he aimed to achieve a third promotion with a club that he supported as a boy, but is nauseous short.
His exit leaves Coventry City as the only three defeated play-off side that will start the next campaign with the same manager.
Wilder’s original stay at Sheffield United began in 2016. He recalled the team in the title of League One at the first issue, and by 2019 he returned them to the Premier League. Their top -notch return was better at first than expected, they finished ninth in their first season.

But a catastrophic second campaign followed, and Wilder left the relegation in March 2021, except for the sealed. He then took on roles in Middlesbrough and Watford before returning to South Yorkshire in December 2023, after Paul Heckingbott was discharged with the team rooted at the foot of the Premier League table.
The 2024-25 season began in challenging circumstances. The club was hit by a two -point deduction due to the missed payment payments from the previous year. Nevertheless, Sheffield United appeared as strong candidates at the top of the championship.
In December, a long -standing sale of the club at the American Consortium Coh Sports was completed. A month later, Wilder was awarded a fresh three -year contract.
By early spring, United sat two points of clear at the top of the table, with only seven matches left. But a catastrophic race, defeat to Oxford United, Millwall and Plymouth Argyle, for eight days, seized their promotional accusation.
The fourth loss in Burnley eventually forced them to play-offs, although they ended up with 90 points.
They easily reached Wembley, overcoming Bristol City 6-0 to the aggregate in the semifinals. At the National Stadium, they took the lead against Sunderland and thought they had doubled him, only for Var controversially banned the goal.
Sunderland equalized, and Sheffield United temporarily reduced to 10 men due to injury after using all their replacements, Tommy Watson gave a crushed shot with the winner in the 95th minute.
