Gary Antuanne Russell expresses disappointment because Richardson Hitchins avoids unification

WBA Light Welterweight champion, Gary Antuanne Russell, expressed today a disappointment that IBF champion Richardson Hitchins did not show interest in combating him in the unification after defeating Veterans George Cambosos the younger last Saturday night. Russell pointed out that he beat Hitchins four times in amateurs and holds the title in his weight class, but still showed no interest in fighting him.

Hitchins: a job over her legacy

The answer is obvious. Hitchins (20-0, 8 ko) is not interested in heritage. His career refers to work, which is why he neglected his mandatory opponent #1, Subriael Matias, and decided to fight Cambosos the younger last Saturday. Aussie entered the fight with a score of 2-3 in the last five fights, and one of those victories was a very questionable decision over Maxi Hughes.

Choosing Cambosos has shown that Hitchins is focused on the fight for money and wants to make sure he is not beating. Russell would be wrong for Hitchin. He can hit, be rough and overwhelm Hitchine with his power.

Hitchins mentioned that he wanted to fight the candidate for the veil of Devin Haney and WBO champion Teofimo Lopez, but not Russell (18-1, 17 Kos), after throwing over an overcrowded, older Cambosa in a non-concurrent fight in New York in New York in New York.

New focus of money in boxing

Hitchins is now a new kind of fighters in sports. They do not focus on the fight against the best. They just move after safe fights or seek to bring in the fighters who have already arrived.

Promotor Eddie Hearn helped Hitchins in this place by lining him with a soft touch of Cambosos. The gratitude he receives is Hitchins, who announces that his contract is last Saturday, and he is now a promotional free agent. He hopes for some greener pastures. It won’t be Turki Alalshikh, though.
