Pep Guardiola admits that he would face the Sack for recent questions in Barcelona or Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola believes that his managerial position would be in serious danger if he had failed this season while training Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Manchester City, under Guardiola, had a challenging campaign of 2024-25, their poorest than his inaugural season at his forehead.

The ruling champions led to the end of their four -year premier league domination, finishing in third place and lagging the eventual winners of Liverpool for 13 points.

The fights were not limited to the League playing. City left Carabao Cup and Champions League early and suffered a surprising defeat from Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.

The ugliest part arrived from late October to mid -December, when the team lost nine of the thirteen matches.

Despite the fall, the city hierarchy remained the support of Guardiola and even extended the contract in November.

Thinking about the situation, Guardiola said: “With the year we had, if this was Spain, I would not train in October, November or December.

“If they were Barça or Madrid, they would have fired me.

“But here it was not even a question. You have to have a little more patience.”

Guardiola also pointed to the recent change of Real Madrid leadership as an example.

Despite winning Laliga and Champions League a year ago, Carlo Ancelotti went to take over the Brazil national team.

“Look at Carla Ancelotti,” Guardiola added. “He won the Champions League and Laliga four days ago, and now he went to a coach in Brazil.”

Since PEP is still at the helm, Manchester City began to step up his band on the eve of the new season, providing the signing of Rayan Ait-Nourori, Rayan Cherki and Tijjanija Reijnders.

Both City and Madrid should participate in the upcoming World Cup club, which starts this Saturday.
