Three Lions Open Defense of the European Championship by winning

England began its defense of the European Championship in the U21 with a victory over Cemia in Mol Arena in Slovakia.

Liverpool Harvey Elliott, Marseille’s Jonathan Rowe and Charlie Creswell of Toulouse captured goals while Lee Carsley’s side had a positive starting tournament.

Daniel Fila, who plays club football in Italy for the Serie A Venezia club, withdrew one moment after England doubled the lead shortly after the break.

But in the end, the competition owners proved too much for their opponents as Carsley’s young lions chose the much needed victory at the B.

As the action took place

It was mostly unusual opening of a half -hour, which was emphasized for both sides of a few decent chances. James Beadle in the goal of three lions saved himself well from Stepan Chaloupek, while Czech captain Vaclav Sejk and English Omari Hutchinson approached.

And it was Hutchinson who would play a key role in the upgrade of the English opener in the 39th minute, the wing player Ipswich Town broke forward before the ball found the way to Tino Livrament.

Newcastle was full of back into the cross that found his way to Elliott via James McAtee. The Liverpool man, who was part of the Carsley team when England abolished the European trophy two years ago, shot the ball into the net with a low, hard end.

Despite taking over the lead, it was far from the pleasant first half for England, with a few moments that defended themselves from the Cordes team.

But three minutes after the vacation, England gave itself some breathing space when Livramentto produced some cunning before sending a low cross that Rowe inserted.

However, the Czech’s life line was only a few moments later when Fila nodded to Sejk’s delivery home to halve the deficit.

From there, the game began to calm down. England dominated the possession, but their opponents always offered a threat.

But there is a quarter of an hour left, Carsley’s side brought back its advantage in two goals when Cresswell went to Alex Scott’s corner.

All this provided three points for England and ensured the winning start of the European Championship title defense.

Next for three lions is Slovenia on Sunday before the clash with his mouth with Germany on Wednesday.
