Robertson is not sure of the future of Liverpool because champions close Kerkez and Wirtz

Liverpool Left Bek Andy Robertson admitted that he was not sure what the future with the Premier League champions was pushed to sign Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth.

“But yes, look, we’re just now at the top – we obviously won the league – and it’s important that the club try to continue to improve and try to continue to find ways to do it.

“They obviously identified certain views that they want to get new blood, younger.

“The players we are connected to are all younger players, and they are all exciting players.

“So, when you play for a big club like Liverpool, you expect challenges, you expect you to have a competition. I have always faced it, and so is everyone in your positions.

Robertson’s contract with Liverpool stands out at the end of next season, and nothing decides whether to stay with the club outside that campaign.

“We talked about (my future), of course we have,” Robertson added. “We had good discussions, me and the club, but what the future has, I’m not sure

“All I know is to take a break and that’s good. I need a vacation after a long season, and then I’m looking forward to the preseason. That’s all my focus is.

“I can’t look too far away, I never did it, so I won’t start doing it now.

“I know the position I am in, I know that I only have a year left. There is a lot of talk about it, there is a lot of talk, but my pure focus is focused on being a dad for the next few weeks and enjoying that time with the kids.

“Then I will try to get back to the best possible form for the preseason, and then we will see what the future brings when those decisions come.”
