The 52-year-old said in a statement: “I came to the conclusion that in the current situation, the best decision for the good of the national team will be my resignation from the trainer’s position.
“The execution of this function was the fulfillment of my professional dreams and the greatest honor in my life.
“Thank you, of course, to all the football players who I was pleased to meet along the way.

And the former Poland striker Zbigniew Boniek had a little sympathy for Probierz.
Said Canał Sportsowy: “Sometimes I’m sorry people. (In this case) I don’t regret it, because Michał prepared that fate for himself.
“He could have done it completely different, he had a very good entrance to the national team, he had respect from the fans. Everyone thought it could be good, but it ended as I envisioned two weeks, that if we lost in Finland, nothing would save him.”
