Trent Alexander-Arnold says Liverpool fans were “incredible help”, because today he started his new career chapter in Real Madrid and made a immediate impression, saying fluent Spanish language at his presentation.
The English right back was on several occasions after announcing that he would leave Anfield when his contract expired at the end of last season, although Madrid eventually paid a 10 million pound compensation to sign it before the club’s World Cup.
It was a sour end of what was nine years filled with trophy in Liverpool, and Reds fans are unlikely to be impressed with the new Alexander-Arnold linguistic skills.

After admitting that he had studied Spanish “a few months”, the 26-year-old said he was convinced that he had resolved his exit from Merseyside in the right way.
He said, “Everything I achieved with Liverpool was amazing, it would never be forgotten. But I went out in a good way, I’m happy for the way I did it. I couldn’t say anything wrong about fans. Everyone was amazing, they supported me a lot. It was amazing help.
“The owners thanked me for everything I did for the club and that I was always welcome. If they said everything that is amazing. Now it’s very exciting here. It’s amazing and something that many players cannot experience.”
Alexander-Arnold, who will wear T-shirt number 12, admitted that it was the key to leaving Liverpool and claims to be the only club he would think about giving up on Anfield for Madrid.
“I always knew, I knew for a long time that if I had ever left Liverpool, it would be for Real Madrid,” he added.
“And then he gets to the point where you have to make a decision to leave or stay. It was not easy, I wouldn’t say it was, I was there for so long and I was a part of it, but in the end you have to make a decision and I made the right in my mind and I’m excited.”

Alexander-Arnold will now get the opportunity to work under Xabi Alons, who will run Madrid for the first time at the club’s club in the United States, and the competition has started this weekend.
As a former Liverpool player, Alonso considers Alexander-Arnold hero, who said: “I grew up with Liverpool fans, watching Istanbul (Liverpoole’s 2005 Champions League win) with a manager who does incredible things in that finals.
“We talked a little and I told him that my big idol was, so it was a dream come true.
“He influenced my game a lot and influenced me to train stronger and have a great hunger that I can do it and set standards.
“We haven’t met any formally, in the next few weeks.
“He may last for a while, but he showed how amazing he is. His knowledge exists in abundance and I will be a sponge around him.”
Another famous face in Madrid for Alexander-Arnold is a friend and colleague from England Jude Bellingham.
Despite his close relationship, Alexander-Arnold denied the conversation that former Borussia Dortmund man had influenced his decision to move to Santiago Bernabeu.
“We talked about Real Madrid,” he said. “Not exactly what people thought, it was a lot about Liverpool and Real Madrid, and these are the conversations you have as players and friends. You want to know what it is.
“Everyone is raising questions in the Madrid national team. To be honest, the club speaks for itself, it is a great opportunity for me.”
