Manchester City ended the signature of Rayan Cherrkin from Lyon, bringing a highly rated attacking midfielder in front of the opening deadline for summer transfers.
The Premier League firsts will pay the initial £ 30.45 million for a 21-year-old, who wrote a five-year contract that is being carried out by 2030.
He will be entitled to the city at the club’s World Cup, which begins in the United States on June 14th.
Cherka leaves Lyon after collecting close to 200 higher appearances, scoring 29 goals and 45 assists. He also has two caps for the French national team, which he once achieved.
“This is a dream for me,” Cerki said after the move ended. “Honestly, join a club like Manchester City and have the opportunity to take the next step in my career, there is something very, very special here.”
His arrival indicates the third addition to City in a two -day space. On Monday, the club confirmed the signing of the left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves, while earlier on Tuesday, veteran goalkeeper Marcus Bettenli joined Chelsea.

In October 2019, Cerki broke into Lyon’s senior side at the age of 16 and has since developed into one of Ligue 1 creative talents.
“I’ve worked hard for this whole life,” he added. “I love this sport and I can’t wait to develop further here in Manchester with Pep and his staff.
“The responsibility for the help of the team to continue win is something I want to accept. Lyon I would only leave for a project I really believe in, and everything in City suggests that I can develop my game and help the team to be successful in the future.”
Cherrki recently made his debut in France during the semi -final conflict between their nations with Spain.
He got off the bench, grabbed a goal and an assist in a 5-4 defeat after lagging 5-1. He then started in the match for third place, where France beat Germany 2-0.
