Adams hit a hat-trick in a friendly victory

Scotch striker Che Adams scored a hat-trick while the side of Steve Clarke bounced from defeat to Iceland to win in Lihtenstein.

Former Southampton striker – who has now played for Turin in Italy – scored only once in his last 19 cap before traveling to Vaduz.

But he walked hard after only four minutes to settle any nerves after the home side failed to clean the corner.

Adams doubled the lead when he came in from 15 meters after a good job of 18-year-old midfielder Lennon Miller.

Adams’s header over the goal at the beginning of the second half touched the striker Ipswich George Hirst because of his first international goal.

And Adams finished the high praise at the last moment he went to the cross from Tommy Conway.

Adams said to BBC Scotland: “I’m happy to find on the list and help the team.

“It’s nice to score a goal for Scotland, it hasn’t happened much since I was here.

“We knew it would be difficult, the conditions were not great, but we were very professional and our mentality was in place.

“It was important to sign out this year with a victory. We are happy to have set things right from Iceland’s game.”
