Sandro Tonas rejected the conversation about returning to Serie and after helping Newcastle United to end his long wait for a big trophy and return to the Champions League.

Remembering the winning campaign of EFL Cup, Tonali added: “It was nice because it was difficult.
“We were not favorites, and we were never really. We beat Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
“We were not favorites in almost all games, but it was especially because when the unexpected team wins, all eyes are turning to them. It was amazing to do it with a team that didn’t do it in 70 years, with incredible fans.”
