Rory McIlroy left 10 shots from the Kanadian open -minded management after shooting a hinterland in a single rank on Thursday.
Playing his first tournament from a disappointing scanning at the PGA Championship last month, McIlroy recovered from a slow start with three consecutive birds around the turn to move under the couple, but scored the last two holes on Post 71.
McIlroy was among the early starters, but by the time the rest of the terrain was completed by his rounds, there remained the lag of Thorbjorn Olesen and Cristobal del Solar for 10 shots, while each shot 61.
Irish Shane Lowry was the five-point of his first eight holes, but he had to settle for 64, three goals from the lead, after a less explosive nine.
The English Danny Willett and Robert Macintyre in Scotland were both further away from five below, leaving them well to stay in the quarrel on weekends.
Justin Rose went five under the 11th hole but made a double beep at 15. Before he finished two below.
After completing Grand Slam in his career, finally by winning the Masters in April, McIlroy could not reproduce the same form at the PGA Championship in the Quail Hollow in May.
He explained this week after his arrival in Canada that he did not talk to the media in his previous tournament because “P ***** was excluded” by information that the driver who was not in accordance with “leaked”.
McIlroy was frustrated that only news of his driver thought it was not aligned when the same thing happened with his rival and the eventual winner of the tournament, Scottie Scheffler.
He came out early Thursday, McIlroy continued to fight his new driver, missed the shallows repeatedly during his circle.
First playing nine at TPC Toronto, McIlroy started with two steams before a bad mistake with just over 100 meters on a fruit road in the 12th hole brought to noisy.
He would go beyond the pace in heavy 17. While driving in roughly left a 20 -foot Gatta for a couple, which he failed to turn.
However, Northern Irish immediately responded, using two holes for the Par-Pet course.
He entered into strong positions from the teenager to leave the touch birds on both, before making it three in a row, rolling in a 11 -foot passenger per second.
The guard could, and maybe, continue while McIlroy set up a chance of birds on the next four holes, but failed to take any of them before he finally walked that he remained one below in the seventh three.

The vacation was temporary as a muffled chip made of thick rough next to the eighth green meant that McIlroy needed an impressive tracking chip to limit the damage to the carrier.
He then found a bunker of the plain on the last hole and had to settle for another thief to leave him over.
Referring to his circle, McIlroy said, “It’s hard with the driver. With the one I played with earlier, my miss is a bit left with him.
“And then my failure with this one is a little right, so he just tries to understand it and manage it a little.
“But a nice feeling to be able to target the middle of the fruit road and to let it go and know that it will not go to the left on you.
“A little exercise this afternoon and I’ll prepare for tomorrow.”
