Agent Julian Alvareza says that Atlético Madrid striker ‘has a sense of Barcelona

Agent Julian Alvarez has encouraged speculation about leaving Atletico Madrid, acknowledging “There are not many Argentines who have no sense of Barcelona.”

Alvarez enjoyed a productive first season in Atletico after joining Manchester City, scoring 29 goals in all competitions, as men of Diego Simeone finished third in La Liga.

It is said that the 25-year-old is on Barca’s wish list while looking for a heir to Robert Lewandowski, and his representative Fernando Hidalgo has put a little conversation about moving to Catalonia.

Hidalgo said Podcast Solo Para Cules on El Chiringuito: “I understand that they (athletes) have received many calls, but always, from what I have talked to the club Herarchy, is that Atlétic’s position in this market is to keep Julián for the next season.

“You already know the admiration that Julián has for Spanish clubs. And obviously next career Leo Messi since boys … I don’t think there are many Argentines who have no sense of Barça.”

CBARSI praise for Alvarez

Last season, Barcelona collected the league and the Cup and received plenty of praise for her style of play under Hansi Flick.

This impressed Alvarez, according to Hidalgo, who revealed that his client also appreciated Barca Centre-Pol Paus Cubarsi’s remarks.

In March, Cbars asked what player he would like to see on the barge and answered by name, checking Alvarez.

Hidalgo added: “It’s not just how Barca played this season, Julián is very grateful to many players who have always spoken him well about him, like Cubarsí.

“That makes him motivated, but I repeat that atlético is today, he’s very happy here. We’ll see how negotiations are. You know quite well that football is very variable and good things will come.”

Alvarez is currently in international duties with Argentina and is expected to play tonight when World champions take over Chile in Santiago.
