Cristiano Ronaldo extended his record international goals, as Portugal came from behind to beat Germany 2-1 and reached the finals of the national leagues.
Portugal, winners of the 2019 League Nations Nations, did not beat Germany from 3-0 win in the Euro 2000, and this ride appeared ready to continue after Florian Wirtz, seemingly related to the Liverpool Premier League Champions, led Die Mannschaft forward in the 48th minute.
But Francisco Concecao, whose father Sergio was targeted in that victory 25 years ago, was spectacular in a spectacular way before Ronald’s 137 sentenced Julian Nagelsmann to his first defeat at Allianz Arena as a German coach.
Portugal will now face the European Champion Spanish or France in the finals in the same place on Sunday. Germany goes to play in third place in Stuttgart.
The beginning delayed 10 minutes of beat in Munich, and it took Ronald for a while to warm up to that occasion, the early chance lost when he shot straight at Marc-Andre Ter Stegen after a good job from Pedro Net, which then fired over the bar after a great ride from the edge of his own box.
But Portugal subsequently handed over to the rise and was grateful to a couple of savings from Diogo Costa to deny German debutant Nick Woltemade, then Leon Goretzka, the second especially impressive, because he descended to his right after Goretzka became Leroy Sane.
Germany had better in the first half without punishing Portugal. However, after Ronaldo failed to make sufficient contact with the net’s low cross to the distant post in the second half, Die Mannschaft made a breakthrough when Wirtz set off for a wonderfully weighted passage of Joshua Kimmich from the edge of the area just within the right post.
The goal was checked by Var while Portugal complained that Woltemade was disturbed by Ruben Dias from the Offside position, but was supported after Judge Slavko Vincic quickly traveled to the monitor.
Kimmich’s help was a good way to mark his 100th. Hope for Germany, but the flashes of gloss were a little and far from the host since then.
Indeed, Portugal’s response to the departure was fantastic and after Bruno Fernandes ruined the effort and Ronaldo started out of the goal, Conceicao lit the Allianz Arena with an extraordinary individual goal.
Introduced as part of the triple change of Robert Martinez, Conceicao ran from the right side and, without taking the time to slow down the running, he bent down the exalted left leg outside the disconist and in 25 meters function.
Ronaldo then finished a turnaround with a much easier ending, staying on the video while Nuno Mendes lowered his left side and taped from a low delivery of full Bek Paris Saint-Germain.
The final stages were angry and often tireless. Karim Adeyemi hit a post from a solid angle for Germany after Conceao threatened to repeat the trick and double his sum, but Portugal seemed to be more likely to reach the fourth goal of the game and resolve the relationship.
The excellent double savings of Ter Stegen prevented Diogo Jota and then Conceico to do just that, but it didn’t matter because Portugal saw five minutes of injury to move a step closer to approaching the title they had won six years before.
