Replacement me in Barcelona will be difficult

Robert Lewandowski believes Barcelona will fight to replace him when he leaves Catalonia.

The Polish International has been left for a year at its Barca contract and one has yet to decide what to do in 12 months.

If he decides to move, he believes that finding a natural heir might be problematic.

Lewandowski, 36, is in Barca for three seasons, scoring 101 goals in 147 games during that period, including 42 in the recently completed campaign.

Said Mundo Sports: “So far, I have not seen many players playing more than two or three years at full capacity and have scored more than 40 goals. So I think the goal level has dropped a bit, as seen last season.

“That’s why it’s not easy and I’m talking about a player who has not only scored one or two seasons (that number of goals), but three, four, five or more.”

The names of Erling Haalanda and Sporting CP, Viktor Gyokor, were placed in Lewandowski, but did not specifically name them in your response, adding: “In the end you have to have the perfect solution for the club, or a coach or system that does not want to play.”

Lewandowski refuses to reveal your own future

As for his own future, Lewandowski said it was too early to guess.

“I have to say I have no idea now,” he said. “I am physically well and mentally well good. I can say what I want to do right now, but now we talk about the year or more (in the future), and that’s a lot.

“In football, three months, a week, two weeks, it’s been a long time. But for now, I think the most important thing is to prepare for a very good season.

“I know many are watching me because of my age, not because of the performance on the field. Maybe I played a very good game, but I didn’t score a goal, and then why (upbringing) my age? If I played bad, for example, it’s normal, I can’t do anything.”

Former Bayern star from Munich did not exclude her magic in the barge and took the role of an older statesman in the team of extraordinary young talent.

He said, “I think I have enough time to decide what I want to do after next season. I can play on the same level as last season.

“For example, there is another thing that can change what I have in my head in the end. That’s why I think it’s too early to think about these things now.

“When Hansi arrived, I talked to him and explained how I saw the situation in this club,” Lewandowski said.

“It was not easy for the coach and I think Hansi talked to all the players and he knew that if we were to win titles, we need players at their best level. And that’s why I think many players have played on their best level this season.

“I think it will be a little harder after this season next season, but if you are mentally preparing for these things, I am sure we can play with a little more experience and in the end it will be a little easier. But of course, every rival now wants to win against us and we have to prepare for it.”
