The IPL 2025 final will be repetition of qualifying 1, as both Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) will fight their maiden title on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, all thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s heroic heroes.
Punjab kings under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer had everything on the line, because on Sunday, June 1, they took over the five -time champions of the Mumbaj Indians in qualifying 2 IPL 2025 at Narendra Moddra Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The pressure was high, but the PBKS captain climbed to the occasion and gave a wonderful appearance to direct his team at their second IPL Final and their first since 2014.

Champaging the massive target of 204, Shreyas took control of the Ubača with an unforgettable undefeated blow of 87 runs only 41 balls, lined with 5 square and 8 high sixths, and ended the match with six off Ashwani Kumar.
As soon as Iyer finished the match in Ahmedabad, at the Punjab Kings camp, Kings exploded cheerful but wild celebration, but the captain’s poker face confused many. Chief coach Ricky Ponting could not control his emotions because he jumped out of excavation, hugged almost every player around him, then ran straight to the field after the skipper hit the winning ride.
Ponting hugged Iyer warmly and patted his back, clearly proud of the way the skipper managed a high pressure chase and took the team to the IPL 2025 finals. Meanwhile, co-owners of PBKS PREITE ZINTA and Ness Wadia also joined the celebrations.
Preyity Zinta was seen clapping and jumping with joy when the ball sailed over the ropes. Then she went to the field and hugged everything, including ponting. Later, Preyity was seen talking cheerfully with Pontint and even playfully winning at one of the players, emphasizing pure happiness after waiting for 11 long years to reach the second final.

Interestingly, Shreyas Iyer remained surprisingly serious and composed in spite of emotional scenes around him during all excitement. Captain Punjab Kings barely showed any emotion after hitting the winning ride, almost as if he hadn’t done his job yet.
He was seen wearing a serious face when he was hugged by Marcus Stoinis, Ness Wadia, Ponting and others. It was only when he crossed the Preyity Zinta and hugged him to finally laugh at him. On the other hand, Nes Wadia also hugged each individual member of her team, soaking at the moment of glory with a team that he supported through thick and thin.
