Coach Jeff Mayweather still believes that the Caleb vs. Jermall Charlo fight can happen next, despite the defeat of Plant against Armando Resendiz last Saturday night in Las Vegas. Jeff says, “Nothing has changed” In terms of plant-charlo struggle is sustainable. He states that the plant is in a “big position” to fight Jermall.
“Sweethands’ the plant is in a weakened position to act as if” nothing has changed “and neglects a rematch with a resendiz to deal with the money against Jermalla. Caleb’s record is 2-3 in the last five, and fans look at him as a broken shell of a fighter who fought against the Mexican star Canela Alvarez.
Fans see things differently. They are not eager to see the plant (23-3, 14 Kos) fighting Charla (34-0, 23 KO), after Caleb’s divided loss of a decision in the 12th round last Saturday night at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. People don’t want to pay to see two old-washed fighter on PPV. Plant and Jermall looked like several old fossils from the Mesozoic era, from the Dinosaur time, last Saturday night. Unless the two fight for free, fans will not be interested in seeing them fighting.
Ideally, Jermall takes several victories against some top candidates, such as Diego Pachec and Christian Mbilli, before the altercation against the plant with stores made sense. As for Caleb, he absolutely has to take revenge on the defeat against Resndiz and look like gold in it.
Resendiz made a temporary plant champion in the WBA Middle Category looking much older than his chronological age of 32, beating it with the results of 116-112 Resndiz, Factory 115-113 and 116-112 Resndiz. Most people agreed that Resndiz had won eight of the twelve rounds.
“I think Caleb thought he had won when he actually laged a little, because he boxed more or less to the end of the fight, not trying to do his best and win that round,” Jeff Mayweather said to Fix He did not realize about the Caleb plant that he had lost to Armando Resendiz last Saturday.
Plant acknowledged last night at a press conference after the fight that he was under the wrong conviction that he wins in the fight. He said he thought he had won five of the first six rounds, and he felt that in the last half of the fight he had won at least two rounds to win 7-5.
Caleb’s coach, Stephen Edwards, sounded desperate in the 9-12 championship circles, telling him that he had repeatedly had to object to Resndiz. Not to be aware of how desperate Edwards was desperate to mentally separate from how much his situation was. It could happen that the herbal ego is so big at the moment in his career to have a distorted view of what is happening in his struggles. You would hate to have someone like in your guidance in war times
“We’re not used to seeing Caleb that is how he is fighting. He’s a great boxer, a great boxer, and that’s what he should do, and that’s against anyone,” Jeff said of Plant, who was wrong, arguing with Resndiz instead of boxing.
Plant was trying to box, but he looked like he was carrying overweight and unanimous that he was moving as he did when he was lighter. Resndiz did not have to do much to plant himself because he often stopped to rest the ropes again, which is a sign of age and too heavy.
“I thought he did well, But you were still able to see rust in him, “Jeff said of his thinking about Jermalla Charla’s performance in his technical knockout Thomas Lamanne in the sixth round in his return after two years of inactivity.” Although he stopped that guy, it didn’t look like he didn’t have any urgency. “
It looked like Jermall was missing the condition of attacking Lamann the way he needed to pull him out early. Charlo, 35, looked fleshy, carrying about 10-15 pounds of fat on a frame that were not supposed to be there. He was not doing well enough to fight hard for a full three minutes of activity to knock out the passenger Lamann (39-6-1, 18 ko) early in the way Erislandy Lara did.
“There have been cases where he just wore a guy somehow, and most of the time the fighters didn’t do it,” Jeff continued on Charla. “He could, and he said that. He said he was at a press conference. He said he wanted to get a few circles, and he did so. I don’t think Caleb was in Ring with Charla that he would fight the same way he struggled with that guy (Resndiz),” Jeff said when it happened.
Charlo was caught with shots from Lamanne, and you could say that his reflexes and time were excluded. Four years of inactivity and difficult life, burning candles on both ends, have pulled something out of Jermaall. His power remained the same, but his physical skills got worse. The way he fought, he would lose many of the top 15 candidates in 168. At least 10 great high -grade candidates would be rejected by Jermall last Saturday. However, he still looks good enough to beat the Caleb plant.
“I just felt that he (herb) felt that he had done enough to win (against Resndiz), and he did not. He has a removal clause, and there is a Charlo fight. Nothing has really changed,” Jeff said of Plant. “She can still fight Charlo fight before he even fights for a rematch (with Armanda) if he will ever make a rematch. So Caleb is still in a brilliant position.”
