Crawford -ov faded power and speed: too weak for 168 lb canelo

Terence Crawford still insists that he has set a “great performance” in the last fight, joining 154 against Israil Madrid, and feels that what he has shown in the victory has shown that he is ready to cause Canelo Alvarez of 168.

People’s Crawford from Nebraska gets a free title of recorded undisputed champion of the super-medium weight of Canela (63-2-2, 39 KO) on September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Crawford is allowed to move two divisions from 154 to 168 for a direct title without the fight against any of the candidates.

Movement, power did not travel upstairs

Fans believe that Crawford’s victory over the WBA junior champion in the middleweight category Madrid was less convincing, raising doubt about the ability of a 38-year-old to fight at 168 pounds. Terrence’s power in 154 did not exist, and he looked like he was five years since the previous fight against Errol Spence 2023.

Madrid showed that Crawford did not belong to the fight at 154 or any weight greater than that. Terrence’s decision not to go through with his aim of trying to be undisputed in the junior middle category that he recognized that he would not be able to achieve it. The champions, Bakhhram Murtazaliev and Sebastian flontir would be too big, too strong and too young for Crawford.

The movement, the speed of the hand and the power that Crawford had in the lower weights did not travel until 154. It would not in 168 without finding a fountain of youth by September 13th. Terrence’s reputation was built mainly on his success in the fight against 135 and 140 pounds. Opposition Crawford fought in 147 were smaller fighters and several old, faded champions. Many fans believe that he is overrated because of his limited resume, infertile elite names. It’s hard to discuss with this when you watch his real victories.

Crawford rejects concern for power

“I thought it was a great performance. I thought I did what I wanted in the ring. I thought I picked it up when I wanted to. I felt that I hit when I wanted to, and I did too much flank. I don’t take any of that,” Tedrence Crawford said Sporting News Australia About his last fight against Israil Madrid last year in August.

Crawford was not a great performance. Madrid defeated Madrid closely, winning close to the unanimous decision in the 12th round of the result 115-113, 116-112 and 115-113. The fight showed that Crawford was not the same fighter at 154 and was in the lower weights, and it would certainly not be better up to 168.

“The styles are arguing. So, Canelo has a different style than Israil Madrid. We just get out of there. Not at all,” Crawford said when asked if he noticed any difference in his abilities to become 154 with his strength and shoot.

Crawford never knocked out an elite fighter in his premiere during his 17-year professional career. Although Terrence stopped Errol Spence and Shawn Porter, both of them faded the versions of their former themselves, worn from age, long career, weight and inactivity drain. Crawford fought them both at the right time.
