Despite the overcrowding of the frustrating defeat of 1-0 at home from Everton, on the last day of the Premier League season, Newcastle grabbed the last Champions League location.
St James Park was a boiler of nerves and expectations, with Newcastle’s fate in his own hands.
And Magpies began bright, with early steps down the flank of Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy, who stretched Everton’s background.
However, the Toffees stood firmly, and as half wore, she became the story of missed chances and Pickford’s glow.
The former Sunderland goalkeeper was at the center of everything, he earned Boos and Jice from the house of the house, but appropriately with an inspired performance.
31 minutes, Pickford produced top -notch double savings – first denied a tonal low drive before responding quickly to the prevention of Isak’s jump.
A moment later, he pulled out an extraordinary stop to push Botman’s header across the bar, then he denied the same defender with his leg outstretched as Newcastle scored a goal of Everton.

For the entire possession of 71.9% of Newcastle in the last 15 minutes of the first half, the deadlock was not broken, and Park St. James began to feel that it could be one of those days.
Everton, for its part, threatened threats, with Mykolenka and Harrison combined well down the left, and Alcarazza tested the Pope just before the interval with his head that brilliantly overturned.
After the break, Newcastle’s intention was not waved, but Everton grew into the game and stunned home fans in the 65th minute.
Mykolenko, dangerous all afternoon, swung in the attractive cross on the left, and Carlos Alcarazza rose to look at the header in the lower right corner.
While Newcastle was pushing for the equalizer, the news was filtered through goals elsewhere – the second for Manchester United against Aston Villa – which caused relief around St. James.
Despite Everton’s Stout Defensing -Ui Pickford’s continuous heroic, which included stopping from Isak and late Guimaraes strike, Newcastle knew their place in the European elite was safe if the results were kept.
The last minutes were furious, and Newcastle threw everything forward. Schar, now a practically assistant striker, shot, while warmed and Willock both approached, but failed to find a breakthrough.
Everton stayed on a hard -earned victory that saw them in 13th place, but the bigger news was a Toon’s championship ticket.
