Charles Schwab Challenge: Scottie Scheffler makes a big move along with Robert Macintyre | Golf news

Scottie Scheffler made seven birds and an eagle in the third round at Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas, and Robert Macintyre also connected in the claim.

Coming from his third big victory at the PGA Championship a week ago, but starting at the weekend of 10 guidance from the lead, Scheffler was tied to the seventh after shot at 6 (64) after looting seven birds and eagle.

“You will always hope to play the perfect circle. That never happens,” Scheffler said. “I mean, three bugs definitely hurt, especially when you try to chase, but on the whole I did some good things.”

Scheffler will need another spectacular circle on Sunday to become the first player since Dustin Johnson in 2017 won three starts in a row, and the only player besides Ben Hogan in 1946, who won the Byron Nelson and Colonial in the same season.

“I would say mentally that I am definitely a little tired. I definitely take a lighter schedule this week than I would otherwise be in the tournament, but on my own game, it seems to be in a good place.

“I felt like I was able to get a good holiday to start this week,” he said. “I’m just fighting. I had a good day today. The first two days could definitely be a little better, but we’ll see how things are shaking and seeing what I can do tomorrow.”
