Newcastle hosted Everton this Sunday at St James ‘Park’ as Magpies Chase Champion League Football.
The side of Eddie Howe knows that the victory of the last day will secure their place in the competition next season, but any trip could see them falling out of the top five.
Newcastle are well positioned, they have composed an impressive series of six direct victories in the league.
Their last conflict on the last day against Everton did not go to the plan. Return to the 2011-12 season, they needed a victory at Goodison Park to get into the top four, just to win 3-1 by Toffeses David Moyes.
Everton did poorly in St. James in recent seasons, taking only one point in his last four trips. However, they were able to secure a point on their latest visit, holding Newcastle to draw thanks to the late sentence Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Although visitors have no threat of rejection, Everton has the opportunity to end the campaign with three consecutive victories – a feat they have not achieved since the 1980s.
Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak:
“Alex is doing fine, he hasn’t trained with us yet, but he has made good progress. For the next few days he will be crucial for his availability for the weekend. There is a chance, we will only play him if he is suitable for contribution. We will leave Alex … pic.twitter.com/ne31rqolee

Alexander Isaac has thrown out arsenal loss due to muscle solids, but Howe hopes he will be suitable for starting in this key game. If not, Callum Wilson, who has a strong scoring record against Everton, is likely to come in.
Kieran Trippier doubts that he is recovering from the stress of the calf, while Lewis Hall, Joelinton and Matt Targett are left side.
For Everton, the problem of the Maphwaita Morthwaite subcutaneous, as well as James Tarkowski, which means that Michael Keane is likely to continue in defense.
The injury to Captain Seamus Coleman ended the season and there is no room for a loan players Jesper Lindstr and Orel Mangal.
