Real Madrid legends Luka Modric and Carlo Ancelotti gave emotional farewells ahead of the Santiago Bernabeu audience after the last game of La Liga season.
Modric moves as part of the renovation under the incoming coach Xabi Alonso, while Ancelotti goes to take over as the main coach of Brazil for the 2026 World Cup.
They both received Tifos on Saturday afternoon, which the crowd was held by the audience during Madrid 2-0 over Real Sociedad.
Modric received both teams of honor after he was submitted in the last stages of the game, and the Croatian midfielder was greeted by former Madrid teammate Toni Kroos on a touch line.
After the game, Modric and Ancelotti have been held on the audience, and the former said, “The moment I did not want to arrive. I won many trophies, but the biggest trophy I take home is your love during all these years.
“I’ll finish a phrase I really like: don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Hala Madrid and nothing else.”

Modric will stay with Madrid for the World Cup club, before deciding whether to find a new team or withdraw.
He added: “The last dance at the club’s World Cup. We will do our best to bring a trophy here and celebrate with our people. Having finished his career at Real Madrid with that title, it would be amazing.”
Ancelotti was seen in tears on full -time work, as was the president of the Florentino Perez Club.
Speaking in the microphone, Ancelotti said, “First of all, I want to thank my dear president, Florentina Perez. It was fantastic, thank you for these moments.
“It was extraordinary to experience it with you, it was an unforgettable story because no one can forget Karim’s three goals against PSG, no one can forget Rodry’s two against City or Luke’s assist.
“And no one can forget Joselu’s two goals. And I can’t forget every day I spent here. And I’ll end up with Hal Madrid and nothing else. I love you all.”
