‘Dream’ – McTominay welcomed as the winner of Serie A MVP after Napoli managed Scudett

Scott McTominay showed that he had a lot of life after leaving Manchester United, raising the Serie A trophy with Napoli and earned a league MVP Award.

McTominay played a major role in Napoli’s 2-0 victory over Cagliari on Friday night, scoring an opener who sealed the title with one point through Inter Milan.

While the last whistle was blowing, McTominay went down to the field in tears, overwhelmed by the moment.

“The victim of each individual player in this group is just amazing. People deserve it because they have been behind us from the first day. If I had come here and experienced it, that’s just a dream,” McCominay said after the game.

The impeccable transition of the 28-year-old to Naples even gained a new nickname among fans-“McFratatm”, a blend of his name and the Naples word for “my brother”. Although he admits that Italian still needs a job, McTominay feels a relationship with his new supporters.

“My Italian is fine, I can understand, but speaking needs more confidence and it’s not easy. It’s much easier to do with people who don’t speak English. I can feel a lot of love,” he said.

McTominay’s move in Napoli last summer ended with a 22-year stay with Manchester United. He joined £ 25m and quickly became a key figure under manager Antonio Conte, ending the season with 12 goals in the league – enough to be named player of the Serie A. season

Conte, thinking about the growth of McCominaya, said earlier this month: “He feels more complete and more famous and reaches a key career phase in which he has to decide on his direction. He never had a primary role in Man United, while we gave him one. He worked hard and now he is a whole player.”
