Alexander Isaac has a ‘chance’ to be suitable for Newcastle’s Crunch Clash with Everton

Alexander Isaac is yet to train on the eve of Newcastle’s Crunch Premier League conflict with Everton on Sunday, but Chief Eddie Howe says there is still a “chance” that the attacker will be available.

Isaac scored 23 goals this season, but missed the defeat last weekend in Arsenal due to a groin injury.

It would be a big blow to Newcastle if he missed considering what was about St. James.

The Tynesiders are fourth in the Premier League, but on the fifth and sixth levels are on the chelsea and Aston Villa points, with the seventh -ranked Nottingham Forest, one point further.

The first five teams qualified for the Champions League next season.

The victory would confirm the place of Newcastle, but less and less means that it will rely on services elsewhere.

Asked about Isaac, Howe said, “He is doing well. He has not been training with us yet, but has achieved good progress throughout the week. The next few days he will be absolutely crucial for his availability on Sunday. There is a chance.

“We will leave it until tomorrow (before deciding whether to play), but this week he coached only individually and built his burden. He ran and currently feels good, but running is one and the ball is another.”

Kieran Trippier is also suspicious, while Joelinton will definitely miss.

Magpies are not sure of the top-five-howe

Newcastle are favorites to achieve the first five places, but Howe accepts that there is still a lot of work.

He added, “In no way has not been given.

“Everton was hard to win and didn’t score a lot of goals.

“And they have threats in their team. So, we have to be focused and concentrate on what we need to do to win the game.

“I don’t think we can look for anyone with any favorite – we can only do.

“We know for us what we have to do.”
