Kansas fans meet as Bill Self and Jacque Vaughn’s address

Kansas Jayhawks fans received good news on Wednesday with the announcement that Jacque Vaughn was added to Bill Self coaching staff. Vaughn played for Jayhawks from 1993 to 1997 and is now returning to Kansas after almost 30 years. Shortly after the announcement, Jacque Vaughn posted a statement.

“I am truly honored and overwhelmed by the excitement to return to my Alma Mater and join the coach of coach Self as an assistant coach. Blessing is once again to be part of Jayhawk.”

Bill Self also posted a statement in which she showed her excitement.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Jacque and (his wife) Laura in the crease. I think he will be a great addition to our program while serving as a great mentor, coach and basketball representative in Kansas.”

Shortly after Kansas basketball made their Instagram post, the fans appeared on comments to celebrate the return of Jacque Vaughn.

“This is great, welcome back,” one fan wrote.

“Expect a lot of Luva. Let’s win! We know what it takes,” commented one fan.

“Welcome back to Jacques! So excited about this news. Integrity. Integrity. Intelligence. #11 Return to Nest!” Added one fan.

The fans continued to respond positively to the news in the comments.

“It would not be surprised if he took power when he just retired,” commented one fan.

Jacque Vaughn brings an NBA experience in Kansas Jayhawks

While many fans are excited Jacque Vaughn In order to return to Kansas for nostalgic factors, they should also be excited about what he can bring to the team. From leaving Kansas In the late 90s, Vaughn was involved in basketball. He was introduced at the NBA in 1997 and continued to play professionally until 2009.

After retirement, Vaughn began his coaching career as a San Antonio Spurs assistant in 2010. He received the first opportunity for training in Orlando 2012 and held the position until 2015. Brooklyn Nets from 2022 to 2024.
