Boxer Georgia O’Connor tragically died at the age of 25.
O’Connor, who won gold for England at the Commonwealth 2017 youth games and was 3-0 as a professional, was diagnosed with cancer in October 2024.
In her latest post on Instagram – two weeks before her death – O’Connor revealed that she married her partner Adriano and took her last name Cardinali.
The Boxing Star, O’Connor also represented the GB team and fought on Claress Shields-Savannah Marshall Card in O2 Arena 2022.
“The heart discerned with the passing of Georgia O’Connor,” read the Boxxer statement.
“A real warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community lost prematurely the talented, brave and determined young woman. Georgia here at Boxxer loved, respected and admired her friends.
“Our thoughts are with her loved ones in this difficult time.”
