Cutting added: “What was accomplished that night … It’s essentially one of the biggest sports events in the world. Playing for Australia has always been my life goal, and I’m still disappointed that I failed to play a test cricket. But it is an IPL Final, for me, still ranked from everything else.”

Immediately after the victory, Cutting grabbed the stump as a souvenir and put it into his kit before he rushed back to celebrate the SRH triumph of an iconic title under David Warner captain.
But when the cutting came back, the stump was not there; Maybe IPL officials took him after they searched his bag. He said it was a frustrating memory from that unforgettable night.
Aussie signed himself, saying, “I grabbed the stump, pulled him out of the ground, ran straight off the field and put it in my kit. Then I celebrated straight there … When I returned to my bag, the IPL staff went through it and it broke it!”
