Scotland qualified for each of the last two European championships, going out in the group stage 2024 after they did the same in the Euro 2020. They have not won the tournament in the tournament since 1996.
Wales was the famous semi -finalist in 2016 and arrived in the 16th round five years later at the Euro 2020 played tournament, but did not qualify for Euro 2024. Ireland has not played on Euro since 2016.
Spare places will not be helpful to Northern Ireland, which are no longer considered the tournament hosts after Belfast Park Casement was removed as a place after a problem with remodeling plans.
The other places will decide the playoffs between the remaining winners of the qualifying group and the winners of the 2026-27 national leagues that did not qualify for the tournament.
However, the number of places available through the playoffs may differ between two and four, but the number that depends on how many spare places they use domestic nations.
If both grooves are used, then eight teams will compete in two trails for two remaining places, competing on the semifinals and the finals with one leg.
One reserved slot that is used will see 12 teams competing in three separate trails with a semifinal with one foot and the finals for three remaining places.
The scenario in which none of the reserved places will be taken over the fact that eight teams will challenge four playoffs for the playoffs at home and on the road, and the winners progressed to the finals.
