Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Ruben Amorim should use Bruno Fernandes As a false 9 in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur. The sides clash in San Mames on Wednesday, May 21st.
However, in his column for a captured offside, Scholes admitted that the main coach of the Red Devils will select Rasmus Hojlund for a big game.
“I would try to start Amad and Garnacho in the finals, because United are the two biggest threats of goal, along with Bruno Fernandes. The best way could be rejected by Fernandes to the role of central middle field, along with Casemir, which has functioned well in the past, especially in European Games,” Scholes wrote.

“I think he will start Hojlund in the finals because he was not too bad in the Europa League. He looked like a real threat and scored some important goals, but in the Premier League it was really bad.”
Still, former Manchester United midfielder pointed out that I could learn Amorim from Erik Ten Hag approach for the Europa League final.
“If Amorim wanted to change things, he could play Bruno Fernandes as a fake nine, just as it did ten Hag last season FA Cup Final victory over City. I know he tried Kobbie Mainoo in that position, but I don’t think he didn’t like it for it, and Fernandes is a little mobile,” Scholes wrote.
Continued:
“Since Fernandes plays as a fake center center, you could start with Casemir and Hungary in the central midfielder. There are a lot of selection dilemmas for Amorim, but I just hope it will correct it. The problem is that the manager does not know what will get most of his players today.”
Manchester United is currently 16th. In the Premier League, while Tottenham Hotspur are 17.
Manchester United reached the Europa League final in two previous opportunities. They first played in the finals during the 2016/17 season under Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils triumphed over Ajax and continued to raise the title in their history for the first time. The Giants Premier League again found themselves in the Europa League final in the 2020/21 campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but lost to Villarreal in the criminal shooting. Manchester United On Wednesday, the Europa League finals will be challenged, and the victory could transform their season.
