Manchester United legend David Beckham and Gary Neville have urged Ruben Amorim significantly supported in the transfer market, despite monitoring the worst season of the Premier League in club history.
Amorim took over from Erik Ten Haga in November after a successful spell in Sporting Lisbon, but could not monitor the increase in domestic wealth.
United cannot finish 14th in the Premier League this season after suffering 18 defeats in the competition.
The rescue grace, however, was the Europe league, in which United progressed to the finals. Amorim’s men will face Tottenham on Wednesday in Bilbau with silver accessories and a place in the Champions League next season on the line.
Still, Beckham wants the club to stand with Amorim and invested essentially to sign players who match the 3-4-2-1 system, which often seemed uncomfortable for the current team.
“It wasn’t a great season and I think it’s kind,” Beckham told Athletic. “When there was no stability in the club, it shows.
“We were fortunate to have been part of the most stable club with the same manager, owner, fans and players there for many years. We know when you have stability in the club, you have success. Simply as that.

“I believe we have a very good manager now. I believe we have a lot of people trying to bring stability around the club. What our fans care the most is what happens on the field and what happens on the field, people don’t like – our fans don’t like.
“But the only thing is that our supporters appear week by week. There are 74,000 fans in that stadium regardless What, no matter how we play or who plays. The manager knows that, the manager understands that. That’s why I like Ruben and I think he got the right opportunity here.
“He is a young manager with a success already under his belt and great experience for his age. So I think he will make the changes he should make.
“I think Ruben should definitely be supported in bringing in players he wants, but I don’t really know how much it is possible. I don’t talk to (minor owner) Jim (Ratcliffe), often, only from time to time.
“Ruben has to support himself as a manager to bring his team and his philosophy; this is already trying, but I think that once he introduces his team and his players, then you will see something different.”
It is said that United is able to make signatures in the upcoming transfer window and it is stated that they are Close to the wolf’s agreement Matheus Cunha.
However, it may need to be sale to maximize United’s head space. The Star player Bruno Fernandes was associated with departure, while the sale of domestic talents such as Kobbie Mainoo, which would be crucial as a “pure profit” for PSR purposes, was also disembarked.
Beckham, however, is against the idea of both.

“I would like to think that you would not have to sell your captain (Fernandes). He was exceptional,” he added. “We were all critical at the time of some united players – but when we needed someone to step up, he did it.
“I also hate (the idea) of any young player who grew up in United by leaving the club. We should not sell players solely for financial reasons.
“It should be what they do in the field and if they don’t perform, there is always a chance – we all knew it, I knew it. If I didn’t perform on the field, it didn’t matter what I did in the past or what I was going to do in the future; there was a good chance to stay or stay on the bench.
“I would like to think that Manchester United does not sell players who grew up at the club, understand and love the club. I don’t want to see the players leave Manchester United if they care about United as I do.”
Neville repeated the feelings of Beckham on the level of investment needed.
“He needs a big overhaul in the summer. Minimum five or six players to change the direction that he (Amorim) wants to play,” Neville said.
“There are at least two attackers, a central midfielder, definitely two wings and another central back. They need six minimum players.
“Ruben was very good at identifying players he wants from the club; this is really clear to everyone. The club’s job is now to pull them out and draw replacements in what he loves and wants on his team.”
