Strawther recorded the playoffs of 15 points high, knocking down three 3-pointer-all the timely recordings that stopped the momentum of OKC in the second half.
Murray said he was delighted to see his young teammate to catch a moment at home.
“A great happy man, because we all know what he is capable of,” Murray said of Strawther’s performance (according to Nuggets journalist Ryan Blackburn). “Somehow you need to see the floor, get a rhythm, get a while, not an offense, such things.
“You can see how he can quickly influence the game in moments of high pressure.”
Before Thursday, Strawther did not achieve double scoring figures. He had nine points in Denver’s loss of blowing in game 2, but did not break five points in any other game in this series.
