Delhi Capitals in Tatters after foreign players including FAF DU PLEYSIS BLOCK IPL 2025

Delhi Capitals face a big blow while four foreign players from their team pulled out of the rest IPL 2025. Faf du Plexis, Mitchell Starc, Devonan Ferriera and Jake Fraser McGurk gave up the tournament.

Earlier, Starc’s news arrived in the morning that the rest of the tournament would be unavailable for the capital, and now Du Plessis will miss the rest of the games.

The position of the upper row is now disregarded for the capital after Du Plessis and Fraser-McGurk gave up the rest of the tournament.

Indian players such as KL Rahul, Abhishek Porel or Karun nair will have to take responsibility in the upper order.

Foreign replacement for Delhi Capitals

Delhi signed only six foreign players, and out of those six, four players gave up the rest of the tournament.

Only Chameer and Tristan Stubbs confirmed their return to the league. Stubbs will also be available for the playoffs as it is not included in the final detachment of WTC South Africa.

Delhi has announced Mustrophizur Rahman as a replacement for Fraser-McGurk, but the Bangladesh Cricket Committee has yet to be given a complaint certificate (NOC) to play in IPL 2025. Rahman is currently in Sharjah for the T20I series against UAE.

Delhi also acquired Sediquelh Atal, but he was a replacement for Harry Brook, who also did not participate in the league from the beginning.

The capital have not yet announced any substitutes for Starc, Du Plessis and Ferreira. They are now in the absence of foreign players and will endeavor to sign at least one or two side players for the playoffs.
