Virat’s energy and rohit’s calm will be missed – Ravicharndran Ashwin

Recently, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli withdrew from the test cricken, leaving a big gap on the Indian team in front of a tour in England, where men in Blue would play five test matches.

Since Rohit Sharma leaves from the test cricker, the Indian cricket desperately needs a new leader who can lead a team from the front in the years to come.

And according to Ravicharndran Ashwin, Jasprit Bimrah is a real man for Captain of India. He also believed that the upcoming English tests would be the official start of the Gambhira gautama era, and most seniors left the team.

“I didn’t have an idea (Rohit and Kohli) would pull up together,” Ashwin said on his YouTube show ‘Ash Ki Baat’. “This time of testing for Indian cricket, and I will say that this is truly the beginning of the time Gautam Gambhir.

“A team that will visit England will be a brand new team, a transformed team where Bumrah is likely to be an older player. Obviously one of the captains options; I think he deserves a captain, but the selectors will make a decision based on his physical ability.

“Their retirement will definitely create vacuum leadership. You can’t buy experience, especially on these tours. Energy and Rohit’s composition will be missed.”

Honestly, Kohli definitely had two years of test cricket in it – Ravicharndran Ashwin

Ravicharndran Ashwin further said that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had withdrawn at the wrong time. He revised that Kohli had been left in it for a few more years, while Rohit had to forgive the format after a tour in England. He said:

“There was a sense of fulfillment, but I’m honest that Kohli definitely had two years of test crislette.

“The tests have been the best (format for India) in the last 10-12 years, but only for the sake of leadership, Rohit was supposed to play to the England series, and if he performed, he could continue and provide some more leadership.”

My favorite piece of Batlak Rohita for India was when he played in England – Ravicharndran Ashwin

Ravicharndran Ashwin further revealed his favorite Rohit Sharma performance in the test crice and said:

“My favorite piece of Rohita for India was when he played in England (2021). When he and KL Rahul opened up, we were 2-1 forward because of Rohit. The introductory partnership was a gun, strong. Between 2018 and 2022-23. We were Rohit’s best phase as a test course.”

While talking about Virat Kohli, Ravicharndran Ashwin called his twins in Adelaide in 2014 with his favorite performance, along with some other blows. He said:

“Some of his best blows have not always resulted in winnings, but this is not deprived of these blows. Twin hundreds in Adelaide in 2014 – that the knock did not end in winning is a shame. 153 In Jo’burg, a pink ball test when we were all in 36, 74, in the first initials – some hit.”
