Nottingham Forest rejected reporting an apparent conflict between managers Nuno Espírito Santo and club owner Evangelos Marinakis as “fake news” in updating with attacker Taiwo Awoniyi.
On Sunday, Forest secured European football for next season with 2-2 against Leicester City, but Facunda Buonanotte Equalist for the Lisica left, Nun’s big shot in the Champions League football race.
The draw is left behind by a point of the fifth placed Chelsea, which is 2-0 in Newcastle United, with two games. Forest host Chelsea on the city ground last day of the season.
The drama followed after Buonanotte’s leveling when striker Awoniyi collided with the Far Post Base while trying to connect with the Anthony Elanga cross on the right. His efforts were for nothing, because the flag then went to offsid against Elange, and Awoniyi then received long -term treatment before he was allowed to continue. It was later revealed that Awinyi required an emergency surgery due to injury.
In full working hours, the furious Marinakis broke into the field and watched them exchanged heated words with Nuno. However, in a statement, Forest insisted that there was no conflict between the owner and the manager, claiming that any frustration from Marinakis was the result of the decision to continue Awoniyi.
The statement is: “Nottingham Forest can confirm that Taiwo Awoniyi has been recovering well after emergency surgery due to serious abdomen injury during Sunday match against Leicester City.
“The severity of his injury is a strong reminder of physical risks in the game and why the health and well-being of players must always be in the first place. In Nottingham Forest, this principle is not just a policy for us; this is a deep conviction and belief of our owner. Evangelos Marinakis, this is not just a football club.
“That is why he in person and emotionally invested in a situation on Sunday on the city ground. His reaction was one of the deep worries, responsibilities and emotional investment in one of ours. Not only saw him as an isolated incident, but as something that reflected the values and unity of the whole team.

“In moments of such, he shows his leadership, not only in words, but also through action and presence. In the last ten minutes of play, when he saw our player clearly non -devious, fighting through visible pain, it became increasingly difficult for him to stay on the side. His deep frustration that saw our player who was at the point, and his instincts would not be with him. meant.
“The truth is that there was no conflict, with Nuno or with others, whether on the field or within the stadium. There was only a common frustration between us that the medical team should never allow the player to continue.
“In the light of this, we are referring to former coaches and players and other public figures in the game to resist the urge to hurry to judge and false news on the network, especially when they have no full facts and contexts. Unjustified and poorly informed anger for the purposes of personal social media do not serve not to respect themselves from others.
“In Nottingham Forest, we believe that the mental and physical well-being of our players and coaching staff must always have an advantage of media narratives, inflammatory judgments and certainly because of self-promotion. In moments like these games, they must unite about those who set their body and mind every week.
Forest journey to West Ham on Sunday. If Aston Villa beat Tottenham on Friday or if Chelsea beat Manchester United the same evening and Forest loses to West Ham, Nuno’s side will be eliminated from the Champions League statement.
