Sunderland won its place in the finals of the Play-off championship, as Daniel Ballard’s last main head has secured the total 3-2 win over Coventry City.
Black cats took a 2-1 lead back to the stadium light for the other leg, but the Coventry was on the rise because of the vast majority of the Wearside return.
They finally broke up in the 76th minute, as Ephron Mason-Clark gave them a well-deserved lead, but it was an excellent resistance to the Sunderland, which eventually proved determined.
The penalties seemed to be formality when Enzo Le Fee moved to the corner on the left in the 122nd minute, but there was an extraordinary turn in the story, as his perfectly placed delivery was welcomed by the head of the ballar to turn the ball into the bar and send homemade crowds to delirium.
Sunderland will now face the Sheffield United in the P play on Wembley on May 24, while they want to return to the Premier League after eight seasons.

Coventry dictated the first half, but they were guilty of the lack of a top edge in the last third, with Jack Rudoni and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto overturned from close proximity with the best options for the initial period for visitors.
Instead, Eliezer Mayeend, the Sunderland winner scorer in the first part, was the only player who seriously threatened any goalkeeper, accelerating in the box in the 22nd minute and forcing Ben Wilson to turn his stab.
Despite Coventry’s dominance of possession, Wilson was supposed to be re -invited to action in the 6th minute to keep his side just one goal behind the tie, a smart salvation, ensuring that the trai Hume did not find a net with a well -made volunteer.
But Mason-Clark managed to get to meet with the top right-hand cross Milan Van Ewilj, with a smart end to the lower right corner, as Coventry’s pressure finally said.
Visitors continued to look at the more likely they would resolve the relationship in regulation, and that would do so in the dying seconds of the stop if Haji Wright had not set his head from the right cross of Sakamot, hopelessly wide with the aim of his mercy.
The same game pattern was held most of the first half of the extra time, but Sunderland found a life late in that opening of 15 minutes.
An outstanding block of Josh Eccles, who was later injured, prevented the impressive replacement of Romaine Mundle to restore the aggregate the advantage of Sunderland and, it seemed a chance to get rid of the midfielder at an additional time.
However, one last corner gave Sunderland the opportunity to write an incredible chapter in his history, and Ballard grabbed him with his head, where Wilson had left that there was no chance of Men’s Le Bris’s victory from the end of the club’s top absence.
