Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says that he “changed almost everything” at the club and faced doubts about his future, even if he secured the Champions League qualification this season through the Premier League this season.
The Spurs are fourth DNA after they suffered their defeat on Sunday 20th League of the season in Crystal Palace on Sunday, and their gloomy domestic campaign led to frequent speculation about the future of postecogloua, despite Australian leading its team towards Europa League Finals against Manchester United in Bilbau May 21 (20:00 BST).
“I could sit here (with Tottenham) for the fifth year, fifth, fifth this year, and maybe people wouldn’t wait for white smoke to see if it was my last,” Postecoglou said, it seems that it refers to a symbol that is seen above the Sistine chapel in the Vatican, when a new pope was selected.
“They would still talk” Ange, it’s great, but it’s all done before. Until this club wins something, you didn’t really make an impact. “I knew it would be evaluated and measured.”

Tottenham began bright in the first season of Postecoglou, in charge of 2023/24, but lacked the fourth placement needed to secure the Champions League football football football football football and reach the fifth campaign and enter the Europa League.
The English coefficient of performance this season means that it will be enough to reach the Champions League, but the Spurs are on the way to finish its lowest position since the modern Premier League started in 1992/93, and the lowest total reign of suffered top -ending in 1976/77.
Postecoglou is inclined to win the trophy during his second season in charge of clubs, and the finals for the finals of the finals will be Champions League Football, with a lot of curiosity that two teams are just in front of the relegation zone – United point above Tottenham – compete to join the European elite.
“You cannot dismiss the fact that I also had to change almost everything in the club in terms of playing style and teams,” said Postecoglou, whose offensive football brand was regularly criticized as an excessive cavalier.
“It’s not like I took over a team that finished third or is constantly (up there). A year before I took my duty, we finished eighth and we didn’t even qualify for Europe.

“I had to do a lot of difficult raises, a lot of young players with the right kind of thinking. It costs us now. It’s not just psychological; it’s about trying to change the whole series of things.”
Tottenham’s only 21st century trophy was the 2007/08 EFL Cup. “You just have to look at where the club has been in the last 20 years,” claimed Postecoglou, who was succeeded by Antonio Conte.
“This is not because of the lack of quality players or managers. I realized when I took the role that it would be a huge opportunity. We gave ourselves a chance – it is crucial to use it.”
Forward, the son of Heung-Mom returned from the bench against the crystal palace after a foot injury, but midfielder Dejan Kulusevski ripped off during loss 2-0.
“We’ll see,” Postecoglou replied as they asked him about the Swedish International. “He was a little painful with his knee this morning.
“We will let him settle for 24 hours and evaluate. The initial (diagnosis) was that it was more knocking than anything.”
Tottenham won the competition-up-to-know edition as UEFA Cup until 2009-S with a total 3-2 win against Wolves in the 1972 finals.
Since then, they have triumphed, beating Anderlecht on the penalties after both legs ended 1-1 in the 1984 finals.
