Furious Amorim lies in players and calls ‘lack of urgency’ after defeat to West Ham

Ruben Amorim said that he and his Manchester United players should leave if they couldn’t inject a certain urgency into their game.

United crashed to another defeat Fighting this afternoon, West Ham, winning 2-0 at Old Trafford thanks to the goals of Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen.

United Flops fight again

Amorim made several changes to the side that dropped athletic Bilbao in the middle of the week, running United to the Europa League finals against Tottenham, and Fringe players failed to impress.

Sky Sports said, “If you look at the goals we suffer, we can avoid these goals. Lack of energy, urgency. It’s the most dangerous thing at this club. You can feel it at the beginning of the game. There is a lack of urgency between our box and the opponent’s frame. This is something we have to change in this club.

“I’m responsible for that. It’s frustrating because we’re so close to goals. We have such a lack of urgency to protect our goal. This is week by week. We don’t play so well in the Europe League, but we have a different sense of urgency.

“This is something we need to work on. It is inside the field and out of the field. If we are not able to do (this) we have to go and give space to different people. All of us.”

Our problems will not be solved by beating Spurs – amorim

Amorim said that the victory over the Spurs in Bilbau on May 21st would announce cracks with United sitting in 16th place in the Premier League after their 17th defeat against a miserable campaign.

He added: “We will face a team from the Premier League, so we will fight. Of course we will be more focused, which is to care because we have to focus on every game.

“It doesn’t matter if we win the Europa League because the problems are much bigger than that.”

Defender Leny Yoro rushed against the hammer, but Amorim said it was not a problem that would prevent him from playing against Tottenham.

“He had this problem at the beginning of the season,” Portuguese said. “We hope it’s not too serious. I don’t want to say too much, but it may not be a big deal.”

Potter delighted with the overwhelming victory
