Jamie Carragher hit Liverpool fans who raised Trent Alexander-Arnold during this Afternoon 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
The complete back, who confirmed this week that he would leave Anfield at the end of the season after deciding not to renovate the contract, heard his name he had run before the game and when he was presented as a replacement for the second half.

Carragher defended Liverpool’s right to feel disappointed with the decision of England international to leave, but said the player should not be pushing while playing for the club.
Sky Sports said, “It’s a game story. Everyone will talk about it. I’m sure we’ll be after the game and tomorrow will be on the back of all newspapers.
“I was surprised at how many. When you are in a crowd of 60,000 people, I have no doubt that there are many unhappy people in Liverpool, and I said it was understandable. I said that when he came to Leicester and that there were several shots from a remote part that I did not believe he would put that red shirt and win and win them.
“I understand that there is a lot of bad feeling. I can get it, and some people outside Liverpool can’t understand it. I did, but I think he amazed one of your players when they play not for me.”
“The Glova of one of your own players while playing is not for me” 😤

Alexander-Arnold’s colleague Andy Robertson said he was also disappointed with a reaction, but that he refused to criticize the crowd of Anfield.
Scot said, “Disappointed with losing a good friend, he’s an amazing player and an amazing person. He pushed me and made me a better player. His legacy will always be there, he did so much for this club.
“He will miss him as one of my best friends in the game, we did it all together. He took me to levels that I never knew existed. It was not easy for a tent, but he made a decision.
“It was not nice to see him waking up, but you can’t tell people how they feel. That’s how I feel about it and I won’t tell anyone else how to feel about it.”
All of this added frustrating afternoon for Liverpool, who won the title two weeks ago and seemed to win another win with Quickfire goals with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz who saw them go at halftime with a 2-0 lead.
But Arsenal, fresh from the disappointment of going to the Champions League in Paris Saint-Germain in the middle of the week, dug deep to secure a point thanks to Gabriel Martinelli and Mike Merin’s goals.
Merino later saw red for two reservations, but Liverpool couldn’t find the winner in a furious end.
