Watkins breaks the club record to enhance the first five hopes of villas

Ollie Watkins became Aston Villa Record goalkeeper Premier League after scoring the only goal in the game because the side of Unai Emery made 1-0 winners against Bournemouth.

In the sixth minute of the stop time, Watkins struck the 75th Villa Premier League to move over Gabriel Agbonlahor and move his side level at Chelsea and Newcastle points.

Bournemouth pressed the pressure late after Jacob Ramsey was sent to another visitors for visitors, but Emery’s side kept the side to keep their first five hopes firmly live.

For cherries, the defeat leaves them in 10th place, two points behind Brentford and Bournemouth after both sides picked up victories in the battle for a potential conference league.

The affair of narrow fights

It was mostly a cage first half on the sunny south coast, and no goalkeeper was tested during the initial exchange.

For the hosts, who enjoyed most of the early possession, patience seemed to be the name of the game. Villa, meanwhile, appeared happy to have caught her time and grabbed the Bournemouth on a break.

It has been up to the 24th minute that both sides register a shot on the target, Evanilson’s Glavak makes little to bother Emie Martinez in the goal of visitors.

From there, two teams could separate. But shortly before halftime, Villa began to have a magic. The low effort of Marc Asensio pulled out the station before Kepa saved well from the fierce Boubacar Kamar header.

Then, in the sixth minute of the first half stop, Villa broke out when Watkins applied the longest -running touch to the cross Morgan Rogers, and the ball placed in the end corner.

The second half began a little more vibrant, but mostly played in almost the same way as the first, with very little that separated two teams.

Both managers called changes as half wore, but replacements offered a small impact.

However, the remaining 10 minutes, Ramsey took his second yellow card for offense in David Brooks, and the villas were forced to finish playing players down.

This caused the revival of Bournemouth. Antoine Semenyo flashed a shot closely widely before Martinez was called to action on Palmin Evanson’s goal-bold header.

Illia Zabarnyi went straight to Martinez, and then, at the time of the injury, Semeny’s header over the goal, rejected Matty Cash on the line when the equator looked the most likely outcome.

Cherries failed to make late pressure on leaving a 10-man villa to take all three points and move at a level with Chelsea and Newcastle.

Emery has now qualified for Europe for the third consecutive season. But their eyes will be firmly in line with the top five endings and places in the competition of an elite continent club.
