Isaac Cruz – Angel Fierro Revanš probably on Pacquiao -Barrios Card in July

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz could fight Angel Fierro in July on the Main Pacquiao Vs. Mario Barrios in July. This event still has to be confirmed. Cruz (27-3-1, 18 ko) beat Fierra (27-3-2, 18 ko) with a unanimous decision of 10 rounds earlier this year on February 1, with results 98-92, 97-93 and 96-94. There would be a rematch as some boxing fans thought it was a controversial result.

Fierro again?

I watched the fight and beat Cruz 9-1. There was no controversy. The only question about scoring is why the judges had him so close. Pitbull dominated that fight, but the judges gave him the credit for the recordings of the body he landed. Fans would rather see Cruz fight with someone else, such as WBA Light Welterweight Masa champion Gary Antuanne Russell, IBF champion Richardson Hitchins or Teofimo Lopez for his WBO belt.

Pitbull Cruz could fight Ryan Garcia last Friday night, but did not want to negotiate a fight with him while still scheduled to fight Fierra on February 1. Cruz must now be hit because he would not only make more money by fighting Ryan, but won the WBA ‘Regular’ Title in Velo Weight. If Garcia had been fighting the fight and winning, he would have been in a position to make huge money in a rematch against another popular fighter.

What Pitbull should not be stuck with rematch against competitors just because one of his struggles was competitive or controversial. Need to move on, a challenge for world titles.

Pitbull style

Cruz looked like little Mike Tyson against Fierrero. It was impressive as he adjusted when Fierro continued to miss him. Cruz focused on his body and couldn’t do anything to get out of those shots. Again, the judges gave Pitbulla merit of his work on the body, because they made it a decision to have.

Fierro lost two of his last three fights and heads to the status of passengers. His second defeat was Alfredo Santiago last year in June, which was a wide defeat of 10 mobs. If someone Fierro should be a rematch, it should be Santiago.
