George Cambosos Jr. He taught today the IBF Light Welterweight Richardson Hitchins champion during their press conference, telling him not to “persecute zero” and that his focus on the fight against the best. Cambosos Jr. (22-3, 10 ko) sounded very much as if he was trying to reduce the impact of three defeats in the last five fights ahead of their conflict on June 14 at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.
Hitchins (19-0, 7 ko) makes his first defense of his IBF title that he won last December against Liam Paro. Fans hoped to fight one of the talented competitors, such as Sutriel Matias, Jamaine Ortiz or Elvis Rodriguez. But instead, he chose the little ‘Emperor’ of Cambos in what is seen as a fight at a business level.
The fans strongly criticized the former united champion in the lightweight category Cambosos Jr. Because he got the world title in just a second fight with 140, after recently defeating Non-Contender lower levels of Jake Wyle in his debut in Light Welterweight last March. The daughter -in -law is more for her popularity from his short time as a united champion of 135 pounds than he earned him.
“I am a real warrior, as I have already told Hitchins. He was so caught that he was 19-0. Kickoff press conference for their fight on June 14 in New York.
You cannot deny that Cambosos Jr. Fighting some good talents in the last few years, but he lost to them. It’s great that he was willing to fight guys like Vasily Lomachenko and Haney, but it’s not a good look that still beats.
“Zero doesn’t matter. If the best fights happen now, who will be the winners? Fans, media, boxing, sports and fighters because they will want to take the opportunity to fight the best,” Cambosos said.
