Xabi Alonso confirmed that he would leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder, 43, won the Bundesliga title with Leverkusen last season, undefeated and lost in the Europa League final from Atalanta.
Alons raced both of his former clubs, but he chose to stay, and Liverpool appointed Arne Slot instead, who took them to the Premier League title.
