David Beckham and Gary Neville leading Salford City


A consortium led by David Beckham and Gary Neville, which includes numerous global business people, bought Salford City, published the League Two Club.

Former Manchester United teammates and England Beckham and Neville were part of the previous ownership group, along with ‘Class 92’ colleagues, such as Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt who took over in 2014.

Their financial support provided four promotions in five seasons, while Salford climbed to the non -league system and in 2019 in the football league.

Since then, they have remained in the second league, however, encouraging Beckham and Neville to take action.

The statement at the club was: “Salford City Football Club (SCFC) announced today that the club has acquired a new ownership group led by David Beckham and Gary Neville, along with US businessman Declan Kelly and Lord Mervyn Davies who will both serve as new KO -Displays.

“The acquisition involves the obligation of new shareholders to invest significantly in the club, the team and its facilities.

“The acquisition is uniquely structured, through a club club that consists of nine shareholders, including Dream Sports Group (leading Indian sports technology company), Colin Ryan (founder, Clipper Street Capital), Frank Ryan (Global Kopedic, Global Company, and US Chairman, Nick Woodhounts Brands, authentic brands, authentic brands.

“These shareholders have a lot of experience working with many of the world’s largest companies and brands. The membership group has been particularly constructed to include executives from different environments in finances, legal, media and entertainment sectors to maximize the impact and contribution they can have on the progress club.”

The statement confirms that buttle, GIGGS, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville will continue to contribute to the roles in “technical, football, commercial, employment and the SCFC Foundation”.

Beckham hopes to get back to Salford

Beckham, who is also the president and co -owner of MLS Side Inter Miami, said: “I grew up in Salford. I have such dear memories of my time to live there and the place and her people played such an important role in my early life in football.

“Salford City is in the center of its community, it has a rich history and I am delighted to be part of the next chapter.”
