AND Florida Panteri Find down 2-0 in your second round against Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the Stanley Cup Play Cup 2025.
The Stanley Cup defenders were expected to present more fight against Maple Leafs, since the panthers bounced the leaves in the second round of the 2023 playoffs.
But things have changed and maple leaves are a different team. This situation has led to the panthers sometimes fighting the Toronto, putting them behind 8 balls.
With that in mind, here’s the view of the three most important Florida Panthers players through the first two games in their second round with Leafs.
Matthew Tkachuk She missed the last half of the season with suspected groin injury sustained during 4 nations.
Tkachuk returned to the Florida Panthers first round series against Tampa Bay Lightting and looked like he had returned to his usual self. But against Toronto, Tkachuk was largely invisible for the panther.
The cats lacked Tkachuk’s physical performance, while his typical disruptive game has been a non -factor so far.
Tkachuk had an assist in Game 1, playing only 15 minutes in 23 shifts. But in Game 2, he left without results, registering minus-2 at 6:30 pm. Panters will need to tkachuk to be a more significant disruptive factor against the leaves, plus offensively by chopping if the panters return to the series.
Sam Reinhart He led Florida Panther with 39 goals during the regular season. But in Postseason he only managed to make two in eight games. In particular, his scoring dried on the maple leaves.
Reinhart did not find the back of the net despite playing 22 minutes per game. He didn’t get much good looking while he struggled to use his speed and top -notch hands to create more scoring options.
The panthers will need Reinhart to counteract Toronto, because Leafs look ready to be played in game 3 in Game 3.
Sergei Bobrovsky is a proven playoff contractor. He showed what he could do last season, leading Panther to their first Cup.
He played well in the first round against Tamp Bay Lightting while the cats were shipped in five games. But it was a different story for Bobrovsky against Leafs in the 2nd round. The double winner of the Velcro has dropped nine goals so far, lowering its total numbers to 2.69 Gaa and .876 SV%.
Panters will look for Vintage Bobrovsky, who will enter and steal several games moving forward as Panthers look like Florida leave the serial midfield.
