Gunners fall to the penultimate obstacle while PSG progresses in the Champions League final

Arsenal withdrew from the Champions League in the semi -final phase while PSG progressed to face Inter Milan in the finals after winning the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi scored the side of Luis Enrique, as the French champions became 2-1 winners and 3-1 to the aggregate on the night.

Bukayo Saka pulled one back for Mikel Artete men, but it could have been a completely different story that she was not inspired by Gianluigi Donnarumm, who pulled a few wonderful savings early after Gunners went strongly to Paris.

Vitinha saw that his penalty in the second half had saved, but it turned out to be a bit of an impact on the tie as PSG moved a step closer to the trophy victory that avoided them for so long.

Arsenal all the flames rifles

There are only two teams – Ajax and Tottenham – ever reached the Champions League final after a home defeat in the first part.

And Arsenal, after losing 1-0 at the Emirates last week, thought he might soon add his names to that exclusive list after an electric start in the French capital.

Within three minutes, the return Jurrien Timber swung the ball on the right that was welcomed by Rise Rice Rice, but the midfielder in England could only nod his head.

A moment later, Donnarumma was invited to action after Gabriel Martinelli found a space in a box from inserting Thomas Party, but a high Italian shotgun for the shotgun saved the knee well.

It was a statement of the intention on Arth’s side. Donnarumma saved the sublime again, this time from Martin Odegaard, whose shot from the edge of the area looked designed for the lower corner.

Ten minutes, and Arsenal could have been two goals for good. PSG were stunned.

But French champions always represent a threat. Opposite the game run, Khvich Quadratskhelia was a few inches from giving to the hosts the lead when his effort for curling bounced off the post.

Ruiz Rocket puts psg in control

As absorbing the first 20 minutes beats, the wrong passage of William Saliba was almost almost fined by Doue’s desire, but a teenage shot missed the need to be poisoned to beat David Ray.

Arsenal fans have proven to be a sick sign. Five minutes later, the free kick found by Partey fell only until Ruis. The Spanish International took one touch before releasing a lavish hit that Raya did not give her a chance.

The side of Luis Enrique was now firmly in the driver’s seat. As half approached the end, the mood in the Parc des princes moved significantly.

Gunners could not repeat the electric start they produced in the first 45. Myles Lewis-Skelly picked up a reservation after being tired with Bradley Barcol, while Donnarumma struck a few Arsenal balls in the box.

Since the semi-finals were slowly slipping out of Gunners, Saka was cut inside before bending a shot that looked at the upper corner, but again the goalkeeper of the PSG was strangely saved.

Just as Arsenal began to show some other promise, the hosts received a sentence after VAR check that Lewis-Skelly considered guilty of handball from Hakimi’s recording.

Vitinha stepped up, but, after slow, crawling, she saw that his effort had saved Raya.

It could be a spark to light rifles. But in the end, it was a little important when, a few moments later, Hakimi seemed to end the game as a competition.

Too late, too late

Arsenal, however, was not dead and buried. Saka pulled one back with the remaining 15 minutes, and the wing player of England then had the opportunity to make him a nervous last period for the hosts, but shot with the aim of his mercy.

It was a huge missed opportunity. Merino got his head late, but Arsenal further failed to problematize PSG, and the French champions headed for Munich.
