Devin Haney (32-0, 15 ko) failed to impress with his wide victory unanimous decision in 12 rounds over Jose Ramirez (32-3, 18 KO) in his fight on Saturday night at Fatal Fury Card on Times Square, New York. The results were 119-109, 119-109 and 118-110.
Haney loved all night, throwing a few shots and binding the dispute of Ramir when he approached. There was almost no action because Devin didn’t stand and fought. With Ramirez, he is the guy he needs a stationary opponent to land him. Haney was too shocked to commit him.
Haney got into a fight that needed a victory to lock himself for a lucrative rematch with Ryan Garcia in October. He invested his victory over Ramirez, but Turks Alalshikh must reconsider his plans for that. If Devin will fight like tonight, it will angry fans.
