Edgar Berlang blown Canela Alvarez, saying he struggled to “survive” in their fight last September in Las Vegas. The super middle candidate Berlang (23-1, 18 ko) had a different version of how his struggle with Canela played.
Edgar claims that “fans went crazy” during the fight and that “the 12th round was crazy.” 12. was the only round in which Berlang made any effort. He looked scared through most of the fight.
From that loss, Berlang ended the contract with Matchroom, knocking out the unknown fighter in the first round. He has now signed a contract with one fight with Turks Alalshikh to fight Hamzah Sheeraz on July 12. It is rumored that it was set up at the Central Park in New York.
Berlanga says he wants a rematch of Canelo Alvarez. He states that, after winning Sheeraz, he wants Jaime Munguia. After those two fights, Berlang believes he will earn a rematch against Alvarez.
Berlanina’s defense

Who jokes Berlang? Obviously he was just trying to survive from the 1st to the 11th round. The only time he fought hard and went on the attack at the 12th, and he looked good in that circle against the tired and much smaller Canel. Berlang allegedly rehydrated at 193 pounds and looked like a cruiser fighting super medium weight. Even with its massive benefits, Berlanga struggled to survive. Fans do not buy an excuse to injury to Berlanga, because many fighters do it after they lose. Instead of not being good enough, they come up with a narrative of injury in a desperate attempt not to leave fans. Berlanga used a lot of his right hand and seemed to favor her.

Edgar basically says he likes to be a villain and hate him. However, only so far the fighter can go with the role if he is unable to beat the elite level or even the opposition of A-Razine.
Work with Turks
“We have just made an agreement with one fight, but we look forward to doing some amazing things,” Berlang said of signing a one -fighting contract with Turki Alalshikh to fight Hamzah Sheeraz on July 12 in New York. “They say that. These are rumors,” Berlang said when asked if the fight on July 12th would be at the Central Park in New York.
