Daniel Dubois, the IBF heavyweight world champion, is convinced that Tyson Fury will return and is open to the boxing former champion after his own undisputed fight for the title with Oleksandra Usyk.
Former champion Fury announced his retirement at the beginning of the year, but this week teased he could still return to boxing.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports NewsDubois is his opinion on the potential return of anger.
“I think he’ll definitely come back,” Dubois said. “When I beat Usyka, I can fight him next. Who knows?
“There are so many heavy heavy weights right now. He will be desperately back to the mix.”
During his career, Dubois did not move away from the challenge. The 27-year-old has won the last three fights from his first conflict with Usyk, a record that includes knockout victory over Anthony Joshua at Wembley.
Dubois now enters its rematch on July 19 with USYK with all four major world titles on the line and full of confidence. He stated that he was a “different fighter” since he first struggled with Usyk in Poland in 2023.
“You can see from my last three struggles that I have come in, jumping and borders,” Dubois said.
“From (struggle) Jarrell Miller, (Filip) Hrgovic, then Anthony Joshua, now I’m a completely different fighter, a different man. You will be witnesses something real, really special.
“The first (British heavy) indisputable champion from Lennox Lewis, I can’t wait to do it.”
When he announced his second battle with Usyk, Dubois pushed his rival when they faced the famous Wembley lawn.
“It’s a fun sport, so it’s all part of the show. I think these things have to happen, and I love it,” Dubois said.
Londoner is convinced that he will become better than Usyk when they enter the ring again.
“The fun and the games until then will stop. I’ll be completely in the fight, but I can’t wait to push it. To enroll the atmosphere,” he said.
“His camp goes against my camp, but in the fight, you will see something amazing. He won’t laugh at night, I assure you.
“I win. It’s clear and easy. I win, I break his head and go home with gold gloves. I can’t wait. He’ll be electric.”
